Muggy

“All kinds of people tell me how cool it is, young and old… they tell me how they wish they could be living this way, and the truth is they can. But the comfort of home pulls stronger than the desire to run, and I get it.”

Where we are from, hometown pride is hardly a thing. Most of the folks we grew up with ran away after high school, with the intention to never look back. However, as the years go by and nostalgia sets in, many of them do turn back… including us.

Muggy is a visual poem on 8mm film, that explores a sheer and authentic sense of home through visual and audio storytelling elements. A book of photography was released to accompany the short film as it made rounds around the short film contest circuit.
